How early can you determine gender?

We begin gender determination at 14 weeks. All gender scans come with a rescan guarantee. We will offer a complimentary rescan to confirm gender if we are unable to determine gender for any reason as long as you are at least 14 weeks at the time of your initial visit.

Is early gender determination accurate?

Heaven Sent Ultrasound has proudly and accurately been performing gender determinations for Northern Arizona families for more than a decade. Gender determination at 14 weeks is very accurate, assuming baby is in a cooperative position and we are able to obtain multiple angles. If we are unable to obtain all necessary angles for an accurate gender determination, we will offer a complimentary rescan. It is very rare that a rescan is necessary when gender determination is attempted at or after 14 weeks.

When should I come in for the best 4D images?

The ideal time to come in for 4D images is between 25-36 weeks.

What can I do to help get the best images of my baby?

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Plenty of amniotic fluid allows for the clearest images and helps reduce crowding. We suggest hydrating very well for at least 4 days prior to your appointment.

  • Wait until baby is head-down. When baby is breech, more often than not their face is too crowded to obtain clear images.

  • Drink a sugary drink a few minutes prior to your appointment. Fruit juices work best! This helps ensure baby is awake and moving around during your session.

  • Don’t wait too long. 36 weeks is typically the latest we can attempt an ultrasound and still obtain good images. After 36 weeks baby gets a little too crowded.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D?

4D is simply the inclusion of time. It is live 3D.

Are my family members allowed to attend?

Yes! Guests are more than welcome. We can comfortably seat 5 or 6 adult guests. More guests are welcome if they don’t mind squeezing in. Kids are also more than welcome to attend.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We do not accept walk-ins. All ultrasounds are done by appointment only.

Do I need a referral?

No. Referrals are not necessary as our ultrasounds are strictly non-medical and for keepsake purposes only. Many of our clients are referred to us by their pre-natal care providers, which we greatly appreciate, but a referral is not required. We do, however, request that all clients are under the care of a physician or midwife.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

All you need is yourself, any guests you wish to bring, your form of payment, and your phone for completing the intake forms. If you wish to complete your intake form ahead of time, click here. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Cash accepted but change is limited. Exact change is greatly appreciated.

Can I purchase an ultrasound session as a gift?

Absolutely! We have Gift Certificates available for purchase either online or in person.

What is the policy if my baby does not cooperate?

If baby does not cooperate for your ultrasound session, we offer complimentary re-scans. Re-scans must be completed within three weeks of the original session date. Please book your re-scan here.
